Extended Xetra Retail Service

With T7 Release 14.0 Deutsche Börse is planning to introduce the Extended Xetra Retail Service.

Simulation start: 01 Sept 2025 (T7 Release 14.0), 17 Sept 2025 (Extended Xetra Retail Service)
Technical readiness: 10 November 2025 (T7 Release 14.0)

Xetra Retail Service Start: 1 December 2025

As the launch of the new trading model in conjunction with the introduction of early and late trading will impact all clients, we would like to point out the following:

  • New product and instrument statuses will be published in the Market Data signifying the early or late retail trading product statuses.
  • The duration of the opening auction and the duration of Trade-at-close (TAC) will be reduced.
  • Opening Auction: The Opening Auction will start five minutes later, at 8:55 a.m. CE(S)T. The transition to Continuous Trading will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 9:04 a.m. CE(S)T, depending on the market segment.
  • Trade-at-Close (TAC): The "Trade-at-Close" trading phase that takes place after the Closing Auction will be shortened from the previous maximum of ten minutes to five minutes and will only be available for DAX®, MDAX® and SDAX®. In the future, it will take place in the time window from 5:35 p.m. to 5:40 p.m. CE(S)T
  • Market Data from the early- and late-trading will be published in the Market Data during those new product statuses.
  • Due to the introduction of late trading, the standard end-of-service messages will be distributed later than usual, reflecting the extended trading timeframe.
  • Reports will also be generated at a later point in time.
  • Regular order maintenance will be enabled during those new product statuses as it would be during pre-trading or closing for non-retail orders or quotes.
  • Non-retail orders and quotes will not be affected by this Extended Xetra Retail Service and will not take part in these retail auctions.

Please be aware that all clients (no matter if they are participating or not in the Extended Xetra Retail Service) need to consider these changes!
