Who we are

ABN AMRO is a Dutch bank for retail, corporate and private banking clients, offering a full range of financial products and solutions. Our focus is on Northwest Europe, but with offices in 13 countries all over the world. Headquartered in Amsterdam, it serves over 5 million clients and employs around 20,000 people worldwide. ABN AMRO is a personal bank in the digital age. A bank committed to playing a serious role in society. This digital age helps us to bring banking ever closer to our clients and what they need. ABN AMRO has a diverse history, dating back more than 300 years and characterised by acquisitions and mergers. The current bank started in 2010 with the merger with Fortis Bank Nederland, after Fortis, Royal Bank of Scotland and Banco Santander bought ABN AMRO in 2007 and afterwards split up the bank in parts.
