Eurex
Eurex – Europe’s leading derivatives exchange – and, together with Eurex Clearing, one of the world’s leading central counterparties, reported a 16 percent increase in derivatives trading volume to 160.6 million contracts in July 2026. Equity derivatives recorded solid growth, with trading volume rising by 18 percent from 18.6 million contracts in July 2025 to 21.9 million contracts in July 2026. Index derivatives trading volume increased by 3 percent, from 44.3 million in July 2025 to 45.8 million contracts in July 2026, while interest rate derivatives trading volume rose by 23 percent, to 92.8 million contracts from 75.4 million contracts during the same period last year.
OTC Clearing recorded strong growth in July 2026, with notional outstanding volumes rising 20 percent year on year to EUR 55,028 billion, up from EUR 45,770 billion in July 2025. The swaps product group is the main growth driver with overnight index swaps at forefront, which surged 66 percent to EUR 9,821 billion compared to last year.
Eurex Repo, Eurex’s leading electronic marketplace for secured funding and financing, maintained its strong momentum in July. Average term-adjusted volumes increased by 58 percent to EUR 614.4 billion compared to July 2025.
