Deutsche Börse Readiness Newsflash | Handling of status “Holiday” for Deutsche Börse Xetra and Deutsche Börse Frankfurt in Production and Simulation

Deutsche Börse Readiness Newsflash

With this Newsflash, we would like to draw your attention to the handling of the status "Holiday" in the T7 trading systems for the trading venues Deutsche Börse Xetra and Deutsche Börse Frankfurt in Production and Simulation.

Production:

Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve are settlement days. Due to the processing of corporate actions and securities master data on these days, the following will affect the trading venues Deutsche Börse Xetra (XETR) and Deutsche Börse Frankfurt (XFRA):

  1. The trading venues Deutsche Börse Xetra (XETR) and Deutsche Börse Frankfurt (XFRA) will be open on 24 December (Christmas Eve) and 31 December (New Year's Eve) with all instruments in "Holiday" status to process securities master data. On these days, corporate actions are also processed and order cancellations are carried out.
  2. The master data file with the securities master data is created by the trading venues Deutsche Börse Xetra and Deutsche Börse Frankfurt and made available as usual at the specified times on the respective days. End-of-day processing takes place at the usual time of a regular trading day.

On Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, orders can be queried at both trading venues, but it is not possible for participants to enter, change or delete individual orders.

24 December 2025 and 31 December 2025 are marked as settlement days in the settlement calendar, so they are included in the calculation of the settlement date for trades on the XETR and XFRA trading venues. This applies to securities settled in euro as well as securities settled in another currency.

If corporate actions are carried out on the aforementioned days that lead to order cancellations, these cancellations will be transmitted as part of the end-of-day processing.

Participants are asked to ensure on these days that they can process the order cancellations sent by the T7 trading systems for the trading venues Deutsche Börse Xetra (XETR) and Deutsche Börse Frankfurt (XFRA) accordingly.

As usual, the reports are created in the course of end-of-day processing and made available to the participants via the Common Report Engine. Corporate actions are also communicated via the Newsboard.

Simulation:

Deutsche Börse is offering production-near tests for the two settlement days on the T7 simulation environment for the trading venues Deutsche Börse Frankfurt (XFRA) and Deutsche Börse Xetra (XETR). Therefore, the simulation will be open on the Deutsche Börse Xetra (XETR) and Deutsche Börse Frankfurt (XFRA) trading venues with all instruments in “Holiday” status on 3 December 2025 and on 17 December 2025.

There will be no trading in the simulation environment on these two simulation days. During end-of-day processing, the trading systems T7 Deutsche Börse Xetra and Deutsche Börse Frankfurt as well as the TC540 report only send order cancellations for instruments with corporate actions.

The simulation calendars for the trading venues Deutsche Börse Xetra (XETR) and Deutsche Börse Frankfurt (XFRA) for the period from 23 June 2025 to 21 December 2025 have been updated accordingly.

The calendars have been published for download on the Deutsche Börse website www.cashmarket.deutsche-boerse.com under the following link:
